Chasing History is about the men and women who designed, engineered and assembled our cars and their components around Australia.

We hope the range of people featured here will reflect how diverse our automotive factories were across ethnicity, age, upbringing and expertise.

It won’t just be people from the big manufacturers either. We’ll make sure those who helped supply components for Australian cars are up in lights too.

Above all, this project is about the people who helped to make our motor cars.
